Maestro Fabio Fornasier’s continuously evolving creativity has birthed another design – LUgiano. This chandelier emerged from an introspective journey tracing Fornasier’s own artistic evolution, from classical beginnings to contemporary creations.
LUgiano (named for the two-faced Roman deity Janus) comprises two fused chandelier halves: a traditional floral design, and a modern LU chandelier. A central mirror, depending on vantage point, reflects either chandelier in its entirety. The color palette also bridges modern black, suited to LU modern chandelier designs, and classical gold adorning the floral elements.
With LUgiano, Fornasier pays homage to his artistic roots – trained in classic styles and Murano’s traditional Venetian glassblowing techniques, while spotlighting innovations that reimagined chandeliers as illuminated artworks.
Like its two-faced namesake, LUgiano beholds both Past and Future, uniting an ancient legacy of Venetian artistry with the enchanting beauty of blown glass.
