LU Murano at America's Cup

The participation of the Promovetro Murano Consortium in the Venice stage of the America’s Cup World Series 2012 was successfully completed, where the deep relationship between the art of Murano glass and the sea was the central theme of various events in the prestigious scenography of the Arsenale di Venezia, scheduled from 12 to 20 May.

Promovetro awarded the first three finishers of the Fleet Racing Championship with the evocative glass creations certified with the Vetro Artistico® Murano label. The Consortium also organized the exhibition The breath of the sea, the glass blowing at tesa 94 of the Arsenale and the setting up of tesa 92 with five wonderful Murano glass chandeliers for the America’s Cup gala evening. created by some Murano glass factories, members of the Consortium, witnesses and protagonists of the typical Murano tradition of glass art, innovation and research in the field of design lighting. Among these could not miss the Vetreria Artistica Fornasier Luigi and the creative spirit of Fabio Fornasier with the LU Murano collection of modern chandeliers. On this occasion Fabio Fornasier made available a large blown glass chandelier, the magnificent LU mirrored tobacco-color with 36 lights.
